Real-world support for any mental health concern, big or small.
Psychological understanding paired with the hands-on, functional expertise to turn that understanding into real, everyday action. Delivered by HCPC-registered occupational therapists.
A clinically rigorous, real-world OT service for adults and teens.
We work with adults and teens (13+) navigating any mental health difficulty: anxiety, depression, burnout, ADHD, recovery, life transitions, and the everyday struggles that don't always have a label. The first step is always the same: a one-hour online consultation.
We have strong collaborators within multidisciplinary teams and frequently take a lead care coordination role for clients with more complex presentations.

A practice that holds the whole picture.
Mental health OT often runs alongside other care — psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy, schools, social care, family. Where you have consented, your OT coordinates with the rest of the people supporting you.
"I have had the pleasure of working with Nicky and Jill for some time now. Their scope of expertise and flexibility is a rare find in the industry, a phenomenal double act complete with a sense of humour."

What is occupational formulation?
An occupational formulation is the clinical reasoning we use to make sense of how your mental health, history, environment and daily life connect, and what those connections mean for what you can and cannot do right now. It's the framework that turns talking into a plan.
Standardised tools we may use
Where clinically appropriate, we draw on a wide range of validated tools, including: MOHOST, OCAIRS, OPHI-II, OSA, ACIS, WRI, VQ, COPM, AMPS, KELS, EFPT, MoCA, ACE-III, MMSE, LOTCA, Sensory Profile (Adult), SPM, Glasgow Sensory Questionnaire, PHQ-9, GAD-7, WHODAS 2.0, WEMWBS, EQ-5D, Recovery Star, HoNOS, LSP-16, CANSAS, DISCO, ADI-R and ADOS-2.
Which tools we use is shaped by your formulation. We can explain what each one assesses if any are recommended for you.
How we work alongside other professionals
Mental Health OT often runs alongside other care: psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy, GP. Where you have consented, your OT coordinates with the rest of your team. We're particularly active in MDT working for clients with complex presentations.
Insurance and funding
Mental Health Occupational Therapy is rarely covered by private medical insurers in the UK. With some insurers you can pay us directly and claim back, though we can't manage that process for you and offer no guarantee of repayment from an insurance company.
